This year's it bag that sold out before we even had a chance to launch it online. Available for pre-order with an estimated August arrival, The Sling Bag is the perfect companion for summer travels.

This stunning sling is a modern take on your grandma's fanny pack. It's so beautiful that using the word "fanny" in the description almost feels wrong. The Sling Bag can be worn in a variety of ways, but our current favorite is across the chest as a statement accessory to any outfit.

- Made of vegetable tanned leather in a bold, two-toned design

- Comes with two adjustable straps for multiple styling options as a sling or regular crossbody. Adjustable from 32-42 in

- Main compartment is 10 x 8 in and the second pocket is 9 x 5 in

- Our leather goods are made to stand the test of time and look better with use. As needed, clean with saddle soap and/or leather conditioner to restore your leather to mint condition.

Impact

The fashion industry employed over 40 million women, only 2% of which earn a living wage. This allows fashion brands to churn out continual new trends for consumers while makers face a continued cycle of poverty.

Instead, we partner with female entrepreneurs who started their manufacturing businesses to create jobs for local women with living wages. Our collaborations create work for women rising above the poverty line and changing the cycle of generational poverty for their families.

In addition to social good, we use leather that has undergone natural vegetable tanning to create the vibrant colors you know and love without scary toxins that hurt the planet and people.

What makes it ethical

- Safe work environments for women free of abuse and known environmental hazards

- Living wages that allow women to afford food, education, clothes, and housing for themselves and their families

- Employers who view job creation as part of their mission rather than a cost to control

- No forced labor

- Dignity and respect for artisans by both their Ethiopian employers and by us as an American brand looking to highlight their dignity, strength, and resiliency
